Hi, I’m Julie

My name is Julie Norem-Hawley and I am a Celtic harpist and singer based in Taos, New Mexico. I am a musician with 50 years of experience playing a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, recorder, drums and for the last 25 years the Celtic Harp. Let me entertain your family, friends or work event with the beautiful music of the Celtic harp.

I have created Taos Harp Music so that those who want to enjoy the beautiful music of the harp to bless their wedding ceremony may contact me to book my services for the date of your wedding and discuss which pieces of music you would like to have played.

Anam Cara- With myself, Chris Knox and Jimmie Killingsworth we are a Trio playing traditional and contemporary Celtic music. I am fortunate to have these very talented friends playing a variety of musical instruments that accompany the Celtic harp. These include the Irish flute, the recorder, guitar, mandolin, accordion and a number of other instruments.

The Solo Harp for Your Wedding

Even by itself the harp is an instrument that rings with clear high notes and deep resounding bass notes that can be felt in your heart. I have played many weddings where the harp was the only instrument. I have a variety of folk harps and equipment so that I can amplify the music so that it fills the venue of your ceremony or provides gentle ambiance for your reception.

Plan the Session

We discuss the venue location, music style/pieces, and length of time. Non-Refundable $50 deposit to secure date.

Payment

Remaining payment for performance dues are paid on the day of prior to event.

Event Day

Myself, and other musicians perform (if you have booked the Trio perform your event.
